Last February, StateChamps teamed up with Chicago Public Schools to offer online tickets to the 2016-2017 Boys Basketball Tournament. Tickets to the tournament were valid for all basketball games, so fans who bought a ticket to one game were able to see other games later in the day.

Thanks to StateChamps’ Share and Tear™ technology, admission was an easy process for both fans and venue staff, and tickets could even be shared to other mobile devices.

**Editor’s Note: Since this article’s publication, Karl Kemp (Director of Sports Operations with Chicago’s Public School System) praised StateChamps’ involvement in the 2016-2017 Boys State Basketball Tournament:

“Boys Basketball in Chicago is a big deal, and with the assistance of StateChamps we were able to offer customized online ticketing services to not only our schools that participated in the tournament, but to our dedicated fans throughout the entire Chicagoland area and abroad.

We are excited about the future opportunities StateChamps presents the Office of Sports Administration as we look to establish ourselves as a leader in interscholastic offerings.”

You can see Mr. Kemp’s full recommendation here.

The StateChamps team helped Chicago Public Schools to promote the event through social media channels like Twitter, and our staff was on-site to help fans with any questions they might have.

While they were there, our staff was able to get some great photos, videos and live updates of the action!

The championship game featured Morgan Park vs Simeon, two powerhouse Chicago teams:

A big thanks to Chicago Public Schools for our partnership to provide online tickets for the tournament! We can’t wait until next year.
